2010 travels

My girlfriend and I start our RTW trip in Cairo, Egypt in June 2010. We're so excited! I traveled Europe last year and had a ball. Now it's time to take a trip RTW!

We don't have a set itinerary but at the moment we're planning on visiting Egypt, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Australia. If our money is still in good shape by the time we travel through Australia we might take the hop over to S.America before flying back home to the US.

June isn't too far away... the time is going to FLY!

We will have two-three weeks in Aug/Sept and we're torn between travelling India, Sri Lanka, Nepal or doing a safari in Africa. Somewhere with the opportunity to dive would be good too... OMG Heeeelp!

Hawaii for 9 days in January. Thinking about something hands-on/creative like woofing or volunteer travel for a couple weeks later in the year. I also have a random week I'm taking off at the end of May that I haven't decided what to do with.

Hopefully India, and if we end up having enough time for an extended trip we may try and visit Nepal too.

Hey, if you do end up in California in May, we might just find a chance to meet you! We're planning a one month trip to San Diego in May. Already booked a little house to stay in while we're there. A good friend is having a baby just before, so that is the motivation. It will be our first overseas trip with kids in tow, which should prove interesting Kind of want to pop over the border and check out Tijuana for fun as well. Being so close, how can I resist really!

Apart from that, maybe a trip up to Queensland at some point as well. Who knows what else the year might hold.

Hi Everyone

Our plans for 2010 are... going home
We've ran out of cash and it's time to return to the cold UK after what will be 20 months away.
But we're not so sad as 2010 will be mostly about saving up again for our future trip to India, Nepal & Burma as well as trying to squeeze in a trip to Germany to say hi to all our friends we've made out there since we've been away.

Happy travels for all those setting off in 2010.

Peru in the second half of July.

Big honeymoon trip at some point. Will be a mix of adventuring and lying on a beach, but can't decide between somewhere in Africa + Seychelles, or maybe some kind of India/Sri Lanka/Maldives combo.

This year I'm going to Greece and Egypt. I know, I know: so touristy. But you've got to see the pyramids at least once in your life, right?

I should be in Greece in time for their Carnival weekend (February 13-14). Anybody know where's the best place to celebrate it?
