Hi All,
Just a quick question; my boyfriend & I are travelling the East Coast of Aus (from Cairns to Sydney) from April, and I was wondering what people's preferences are between the Oz Experience and the Greyhound buses? The Greyhound is alot cheaper (£177), and seems to be just as flexible as the Oz Experience (circa £300).
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Cara

Oz Experience if you're looking for a "tour" with a lot of handholding (and upselling of activities on which they get a kickback), or are desperate for getting to know other people.
Greyhound if you just want transport from place to place and can make up your own mind of what you want to see and do, and have the confidence that there'll be lots of other people to meet up with at the hostels where you'll be staying anyway.

Greyhound if you just want to get there - travelling as a couple this is probably what I would choose. More the independant traveller's choice
Oz Experience if you want to meet people, party etc etc. More for 1st time travellers or someone who deosn't really know what they want out of their Aussie experience

i agree with hey_monkee. I did the greyhound with my girlfriend at the time, it was very efficient and cheaper, the oz experience bus is more setup for single people meeting other people etc, my advice would be get the cheaper, more reliable greyhound and just meet people at the hostels
