Hi there hope someone can help me, it might be a bit of a random question tho.
Basically I have got about 6 months expedition conservation experience, and am going to be going to Oz for 6 months or so from April. I'm going to do the usual live and work and travel jaunt but would really like to get some conservation experience whilst I'm there, probably thru voluteering. Does anyone know of any good organisations that could use someone with experience for a couple of weeks? I've had a search around on the net and there are alot of conservation organisations out there but can't really find out if they could accomodate someone like me.
Thank you!

Hi Alabama!

One of the companies that was a partner of a company I used to work for in Australia called CVA (Conservation Volunteers Australia). As far as I know they are the biggest operation in this regard, but I am sure there are a few other as well.

The only 'problem' is that usually you have to pay to work with organizations like this for a few weeks (cover board, travelling etc.). They do have some pretty neat projects going on and it is all around Australia. I just did a search and their website is if you want to check it out. You can always contact them directly on there if you can't find what you are after :)

Hope it helps!
