40 yr old UK woman looking for travelling companion(s)

I'm a single 40 yr old female with a serious case of wanderlust and it would be great to meet someone (from the UK or abroad) to do any of the following with this year:

Short trips to European cities
Volunteering in Africa or Asia ( probably involving kids or animals)
A road trip across any continent
Walking, trekking, sailing or horseriding...anywhere

The list doesn't end there, as I'm open to ideas. If you're somewhere around my age but younger at heart - or maybe you're younger and could tolerate an oldie like me...or older and could tolerate someone younger with a silly sense of humour!!!!! - and have a great travel dream you'd like to fulfil with someone else, let me know cos I'd really consider anything...except a week on a beach in Benidorm. lol

I'm just as happy backpacking and camping on a farmer's field as staying in a swanky 5* hotel, but I'm more into exploring local surroundings and culture than lounging on a beach.

I am looking into volunteering at an orphanage in Bulgaria in either June or July and then possibly a trip around Eastern Europe. I would love to have someone with me, as I have never been into Eastern Europe and never traveled alone. I am younger but I tend to get along with people who are a few years ahead anyway.
