Hello everyone, my names Adam.

I'm in the middle of saving for a RTW trip, well as far round the world as i can get really. I'm currently in the middle of saving, i plan to have atleast 8000-GBP by mid November this year. It's me and a friend going, she was thinking 6 months cos she's only going to have around 5000-GBP. I want to finish off in Perth, Australia as two of my friends moved out there about half a year ago and are starting to settle down with jobs and an apartment.

What i need is help with my itenerary, we've got an idea of places we want to go, but was just after some advice from you lot seeing as most of you are experienced travellers.

Some of the places we want to go are:

Africa - Voluntary work, this is only a maybe though.

SE Asia:

Thailand - Chiang Mai (Long stay), Bangkok (short stay). And maybe another area if anyone has suggestions?

Cambodia

Viet Nam

Any other suggestions that are affordable?

South America:

Arentina

Brazil

Chile

And maybe Peru.

Maybe a bit of North America if possible on the budget.

And then finally finish in Australia.

I know i mite not be able to do all those places ive mentioned but hope to cover as much as i can.

I will be staying in the cheapest way possible?

What do you reckon? :)

The only thing I would say is, are you definitely sure you want to finish in Oz? As you want to visit Asia and South America, and Oz is bang smack in the middle.

So it might be better if you go either via Asia or S.America on the way to Oz if you definitely want to end up there last, and wherever in between, but I dont see how you can do both without somehow flying completely back on yourself and paying for lots of flights.

I would start by looking at RTW tickets, so you can get an idea of where you can fly on your list, for how much, how many stops/continents/miles etc.

thailand
australia
fiji
new zealand
south africa

im looking at taking £10,000 with me and i plan on working in oz as a plasterer to get some extra cash
