Four out of five tourists to NYC visit Times Square. That's a good starting point in Midtown Manhattan.

Battery Park on the south side is your access to the ferry boats and the Statue of Liberty.

Central Park is wonderful, especially on weekends when vehicle traffic is banned.

.

The Staten Island ferry is free and sails right past the statue, takes about half an hour each way..

make sure you check out the flat iron building, which in my opinion is the best building in NYC!

NY is hugeeee. There is so much to see!
Chinatown, Little Italy, Statue of Liberty, Union Square, Central Park, 5th Ave, Brooklyn Park (gorgeous view of lower manhattan).
Get a NY pass! You can use it all the major attractions. Do not miss the statue of liberty, top of the rock, empire state building which are all included in the pass! I personally loved the tour of Rockefeller Center, do that while you're already in the area!
