I couln't see an approriate place to post this so mods please move if in the wrong spot.

I have a CPAP machine which I obviously must take with me everywhere I go.
I have booked to fly with Singapore Airlines and they have told me that medical equipment is part of my "carry on", therefore must be included in my onboard max weight of 7kg.

I fly home with Air Asia and they havn't even approved me to take my machine, I am still waiting for a call.

I was under the assumption that medical equipment was free to take as "carry on" seperate from your carry on weight and that this was a world wide rule with all airlines.

As I am a novice traveller, advice is much appreciated :)
