Can anyone give me some information on Seattle, like what sights there are to see, value for money, what time of year to visit to get the best out of the place. Also my girlfriend and I are huge Nirvana fans and would love to see Kurt Cobains home. So any information on these topics would be of great help.

Many thanks in advance.

asside from the obvious you should go to Ye Old Curiosity Shop... this is a link that might give you more info. The place is really cool. http://www.yeoldecuriosityshop.com/Merchant/history.html

In Seattle Pike's Place Market in downtown Seattle is a must see... Lots of little shops and stuff around there that are great. That's where they have the fish marts where they throw the fish to eachother and stuff too.

The underground tour is really cool as well. Also, I've noticed that a lot of people like visiting Fremont while in Seattle, it's near downtown and is a really unique area of town - check out some of their history - http://www.fremontseattle.com/ . If you're going to go to Pike Place Market, make sure to check out this shop called Raven's Nest Treasure, it's very cool - they have lots of history about Native Tribes around seattle - http://www.ravensnesttreasure.com/category_s/102.htm . I'm not sure if you can still check out Kurt Cobain's house, they may have shut it down.

Oh, and if you get a chance, you should try to make it out to Magnolia to go to Discovery Park, that place is truly amazing, an awesome tourist attraction that most tourists don't get to see. This site has more info on how to get there - http://www.seattle.gov/parks/Environment/discovparkindex.htm.
