Hello all
I need to get from Trichy to Bangalore at the weekend am weighing up my options of travel.
I have tried booking train and it seems complicated. I am aware coaches run and have found a company called redbus that can do the trip. Has anyone used the coaches?
Just seeking advice and recomendations please.
Used coaches in Thailand and wasn't that pleased especialy due to my luggage getting rumaged through.
Also heard that trains can be booked 2 days before if tourist tickets have been reserved for specific journey.
Many thanks

Train is great. Travel first class, rather than cattle class and you get to see a lot in relative comfort. Coaches in India are hard work and they'll often have Indian music blaring away or a movie which is just as bad. They can be crowded too whereas on a train, you get up and walk around, and at stops sometimes it's long enough to stretch your legs on a platform and buy some food and drink.
