We are about 8 friends going to London January 23rd for just a couple days, we will like information about a clean, fun inexpensive hostal in london to stay and be able to walk around its beautiful sights before we have to flight back to Phoenix Arizona.
Thanks for your Help.

You could try the Earls Court area

When I traveled to London a year ago I Lucked out at the St. Christopher's Village. I booked directly on their website. They own three different building on the same block, close to an Underground stop, and it had a pub in the basement. I booked on thier website directly which allowed me to choose the building that we wanted to stay in. We had the whole room, almost building to ourselves, while other people staying there were packed into the main building. That is the best advice I can offer. As far as price, NOTHING in London is cheap.

Best of luck!

I always try to stay in Earls court, but don't stay at the Exhibition court hotel. I stayed there last time and it was awful. They messed up my reservation twice and the staff don't speak good English. I had some trouble understanding them.

I live in london so obviously I don't stay in hostels, but I hear good things about the St. Christopher chain. I was actually in the Camden one yesterday having a drink, and they seem to have plenty going on in the evenings. Additionally, Camden is a pretty lively part of town with good transport links into the centre (it's about five minutes walk from the Tube).
