Day 2: Lhasa

In the morning, visit the Potala Palace, the greatest monumental structure in all of Tibet. Also visit the Jokhang Temple, which is located in Barkhor square in Lhasa. The Barkhor is a famous shopping street filled with goods and souvenirs from Tibet, Nepal, and India. Pilgrims from all over Tibet visit the Barkhor to pray in front of the Jokhang.

Day 3: Lhasa – Old Tingri

In the morning drive to Old Tingri (4,350m) over Tso-La (4500m) and Gyatso-La (5252m). On the way, if time permits, make an excursion to visit the Sakya Monastery (4,280 m). In the afternoon arrive in Old Tingri and meet your crew.

Day 4: Trekking Old Tingri—Lungchang

Start trek along Ra Chu stream to beyond Choling and Lungchang villages (4350m).Camp overnight.

Day 7: Trekking Draka Chu—EBC-Rongbuk

Trek up Draka Chu River to Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world. It is said that the Rongbuk Monastery had been built as early as the time of the Fifth Dalai Lama. Mount Everest, which stands 8,848 meters above sea level, will be seen on this last trekking day.Camp overnight.

Day 8: Rongbuk – Shigatse

Day 9: Shigatse-Lhasa

Day 10: Depart Lhasa

Your guide will drop you off at the train station or airport.

The total price of this trip is:

2 people: $865 per person
3 people: $612 per person
4 people: $503 per person

This price includes Land Cruiser, all the fuel costs, road tolls, Tibetan driver, all the necessary permits, Tibetan English speaking guide and driver and guide's accommodations and food.

This price doesn't include your accommodations, food, entrance tickets or camping equipment (tents/sleeping bags/stoves/horse cart).

We are hoping to get costs down as well as meet new fabulous people. Any takers?

hey, yes we're still trying to find people. i think accomodation will be about $10 a night when we stay in hostels and the rest of the time we will be camping.
Do you have dates for travel in Tibet?

Great, you mean dates, like a partner? No, I don”t have, but I am member in a group with very nice people, and we go once a month trekking in the mountains, so i cand easily find someone to trust. I think we should talk directly these aspects, how can we do it?
