Hi razz,
You'll have a great trip and you're doing the best thing asking questions these are just a few tips.

have copies of your passport, driving license, insurance, prescriptions (medical & optical)

e-mail yourself anything you might need while travelling like bank details

Use good hotels for banking not Internet cafes, more chance of a secure line

always keep your debit and credit cards and cash in separate places, take different debit/credit cards sometimes they stop working for no reason.

Use a body belt

Ear Plugs,
Immodium for runs
safe hands they'll be places where you cannot wash
wash wipes, for use when you can't wash

Ask a medical professional about injections inoculations and anti malaria tablets

check out Visa requirements for the counties you are visiting and where to get them on route

line and pegs

needle and cotton

camera, spare memory card, spare rechargeable batteries and charger, USB memory stick for downloading photos or register on

Register on this website for travel information, it's a great site with many experienced travellers answering questions

Best of luck and keep safe out there

We fly out to Cape town on the 11th October and can't wait.
