22yr old Solo Backpacking Europe

Hi all,

I'm planning on traveling to Europe but so far its just me, myself and i , it would be cool to have a travel buddy and enjoy the adventure together. Im a 22yr old female, living in Australia (yes i know its far away) and we could meet up in Europe. I would like to visit, France, Italy, Switzerland,Hungary,Germany well pretty much anywhere in Europe i'm flexible with the destinations. I would like to do the trip as cheaply as possible so its defiantly backpacking style and hostels plus its probably more fun as you get to meet people on the way. I haven't booked anything yet but im looking to start my traveling late December 2010 or early Jan 2011 and travel for 2+ months, not really sure how long i want to travel for so i might not get a return ticket as i have no idea when i'm coming back. As you can see i'm great at planning things lol.

If you like we can even try to do some volunteering?

I'm looking for someone who is in there 20's, respectful, likes to socialize, doesn't matter male/female, isn't afraid to try new things and over all a easy person to get along with.

I would love to hear from you and we can start planning our European trip, in the end if theres no one whose interested ill be doing it alone :/
Does anyone have any tips for solo travelers? Ive never traveled alone and not to sure what to expect?

If i don't end up going to Europe, i'll be heading to SE Asia or China/Japan, all i know is i'm traveling but the question is where to start?I'm up for suggestions!

Been thinking about doing something similar and travel around Europe (with no solid plans, just see how things go and visit as much as I can). I'm male and will be 21 by next Jan. I am very flexible with dates, locations etc. Pretty much not any place in Europe I don't want to go. Cheap would be best though.

I'm in the UK, not all that far from London. Not sure if England is on your list or where you were thinking you might start this trip but can get to most areas of Europe fairly easily.

I've never travelled alone either so have been looking on here for someone up for a similar plan. Else this will be a solo trip.

Not done alot of travelling really (although I was in Japan earlier this year so if you decide to go there I can give you some tips for places to visit) and never backpacked but i'm up for giving it all a go.

Anyway, let me know if you'd be interested in talking a bit more and maybe planning a trip.

I'm just starting my first solo backpacking trip in New Zealand right now. I'm planning on heading to Australia and then SE Aisa after i'm done exploring here. It'd be cool to travel around with another laid back, open minded person while exploring new places. If your Europe trip doesn't pan out and you end up going to Asia, let me know. I'd feel better checking out new places with someone else around. If your original plan works out, have fun Europe

If there is HEAVEN any where in the world…that’s situated one and only in Spain. If you are lucky enough to visit Europe, don’t do the mistake of traveling Spain. It’ll be one of the greatest slips in your life.

but seriously, ive got the financial side down, i havent got the planning down really but hoping we could do it together
since im really flexible with destinations. I really would love to go to Asia, Europe and USA though.
Im actually thinking ill leave Aus in Feb though with another girl for Japan and then to China for the New Year,
