I will be in Turkey in June and plan to spend several days relaxing at a beach after visiting Ephesus. What beach do you suggest that is nearby and beautiful?

Definitely go to the Turquiose Coast near Kas. Dalyan has a beautiful beach but you must take a 20 minute boat out there. You'll get to see the longhead turtles while you're there.

Olu Deniz is my favorite beach in Turkey, there is a little beach round the back of the lagoon calles Bobs beach where they have huts to rent and you can camp there too, a lot of back packers stay there. Have a great time.

Olu Deniz certainly looks pristine on postcards but I found it to be rather commercialised and stayed only an hour so. The resort itself and Hisaronu up the hill reminded me of a downmarket spanish resort. The beach at Dalyan is quieter, and the town itself offers a much more relaxed pace. The boat journey through the reeds past the rock carvings is fantastic. But the best beach by far in Turkey for me is the endless expanse of Patara beach, east of Fethiye, plenty of space (about 14 kilometers of it!), a few Lycian ruins and a much more Turkish experience. Kalkan nearby is rather posh but still quaint.
