how often are there buses leaving to go to Rio de janeiro from Cataratas?
I know pluma is offering bus rides from Rio De Janeiro to Buenos Aires but are these buses Direct and non stop? is there a REALLY cheap airline i could just fly? also, how much is this bus ride?

Hello Linzzay,
I can only answer a couple of your questions, i'm afraid.
The airline i used in Brazil was Gol......very good cheap service.

A word of advice though - generally flights over country borders in South America are much more expensive than when you fly within a country.
Iguazu is a nice easy place to get around, there're plenty of tourist information hubs there so they should guide you.
There is a bus from the Argentinian side of Iguazu town, to the Brazilian side. Its cheap and cheerful and takes around 30 mins.
Note: You have to be alert on the bus.
1. Ensure that the driver is stopping at the border, for your Argentine Exit stamp.
2. Take your big bags off the bus with you, because it doesn't wait for you - it will drive off leaving you to catch the next one (every 15/20 mins).
3. Make sure the bus doesn't bypass the Brazilian Entry gate, without you getting an Entry stamp. Otherwise you'll be illegal in Brazil!
Hope that helps a bit.
