I'm wondering if anybody has taken a train from Sofia to Belgrade?
I'm looking at online prices for the tickets, and they seem overpriced. How much did you pay?
How long does it take, and are there any unforseen delays/stops considering you cross the border?

yes - I've done the trip in both directions.
What prices have you seen?
The prices i've seen online are £40 at the moment.
I'm thinking it may be cheaper to turn up close to the date i want to travel and try then?

I don't know if this is too late but I'll tell you anyway!
When I went to do this journey the train from Sofia for some reason didnt show up on our day so we ended up taking the coach. Pretty sure the coach was much cheaper too. The coach stn was just over the road from the train stn in Sofia. They go via Nis in Serbia which is worth a look if you have the time...
