I have my dad' s DEGEE laptop as he wants it restoring to factory settings but i can' t find how to access the boot menu anywhere and i have no recovery disks! Does anyone know how to access the specific boot menu on an DEGEE widebook notebook so i can do this?

What operating system are you running? If you're on windows try hitting F8 as you start the computer (before the windows logo) ... this should then offer you the choice to boot into safe mode.

If you can access it normally, just drop all the important files onto an external hard drive & re-install the OS.

If you can access the internet on the laptop & have less than 4GB of files to backup, sign up for a free dropbox account and it will automatically backup for you (www.dropbox.com)

NOTE: Resetting to factory settings or re-installing the OS will mean losing all your files. BACK THEM UP FIRST.
