Hey everyone
Myself, boyfriend and friend have just booked to go to Oktobberfest in Munich for September 23rd to 30th. If anyone else is going over those dates, I thought it may be cool to chat and meet up there so we can make new friends and have a great party!? Or if anyone has any useful advice or anything at all related to beerfest, drop a line here!
Hello, I was just looking into going to Oktoberfest this year and ran across your thread. I am very interested in any information you have run across, especially where you found to stay and generally your "game plan". I will be traveling there alone and would love to find a group to meet up with, party with, and make new friends with. I am so late in setting this up I have had no luck in finding a place to stay. Im going to Octoberfest with four buddies from Canada! Landing in Munchen on Sept 17th

Awesome!! Were you able to find a place to stay? I have had no luck so far anywhere within reasonable distance from the festival..
hey yacko,
you did leave it late so you will struggle finding accommodation. i did a quick search on hostelworld. there is no availability on the weekends but there are still beds during the week. i stayed at easy palace city hostel last year which is literally two minutes walk to the oktoberfest grounds. have a look yourself, as i only did a quick search.

thanks, i will check out hostelworld. i tried the easy palace last week and had no luck. ill try adjusting my dates around. thanks for the help..

We're just staying in a campsite in Munich, 10 minutes out from city centre. Try look at the site: http://www.travellerspoint.com/accommodation/48481-Munich-All-Inclusive-Campsite/ and see if they have anything over your dates. Its really good value and all you need really!
