Happy Birthday !!! 26 is great ( well i hope so, i hit it and the end of the year),...... who wants to grow up anyway !!! its just a state of mind ( you don't want to know what one mine is in,... )

Lovelee, I agree. When I turned 25 last year I spent about a day thinking about the significance of the fact that I was a quarter of a century old and with the high probability that I might not be around for the last quarter (i.e. 75 +) realised that that left me with just about half of my life left in which to realise the massive Evelyn To Do List! Sobering stuff indeed!! My quarterly crisis, I like to call it.

But I'm gonna be 26 in a couple of months and I'm looking fwd to it.

I think I'm getting more irresponsible as i get older...

I know I worried when I had my 25th birthday, especially as EVERYONE reminded me I was a quarter of a century old! But do you know what? I turn 28 in a month and I still feel the same as I did at 21...although I have a mortgage and a job now! I don't want to get to 60 and think back to the things I haven't done and regret my life!

I think that age really doesn't matter, I am giving everything up this year and going away travelling with my boyfriend of 10 years. We both think that age is all in the mind. My parents are the same, they are 50 (they really don't act it!) and my dad still plays football twice a week with lads who are young enough to be his sons. I have got my philosophy from them. Live life to the full, don't worry about not acting your age or doing something you shouldn't at 'your age'! In Thailand last year we met a bloke who must have been mid-60's who was doing a RTW and loving it! That's how I want to be!

I suppose after all that waffle I'm trying to say your age doesn't matter, follow your heart, if people criticise then they are jealous and have no imagination!

Happy birthday, Lovelee and everyone else who's birthdays are coming soon. Go out, get drunk, travel and live life to the full!

Happy Birthday, I am sorry I did not catch it yesterday ,

However, I still remember my mid-twenties....don't I mom? Hahaha, I am 47 now closing in on the half century mark . I have never had so much fun in my life. Might be the oldest kid out here but hey, who cares. Mom tells me our grandchildren are more mature sometimes...hehehe.

Do not worry about what others think, just be happy and enjoy yourself...get out there and see the world. It may take you 50 years but it is all worth it to me..Happy Birthday again.

26 is a serious milestone, 25 is irrelevant. Until you hit 26 you still qualify for youth tickets/fares. After that, your in adulthood until you hit OAP status.

And prices suddenly shoot up for most travel things, and as spent the last 12 years or so living constantly off youth fares, it's a big deal for me (and my bank manager), and will probably be the single reason which actually forces me onto a damned plane in the end

Happy Birthday, lovelee!

Gelli, I sympathise with the rise in ticket prices & everything when you turn 26. It's a big deal for me too. Sigh.
