My husband and I have plane ticket in our grubby hands to visit our traveling offsping over the Christmas/New Years holidays. We will be centered in Cochabamba and have about 16 days to see and experience. I am looking for some place to stay in Cochabamba. We usually like to stay in smaller hotels or inns, something owned by someone local and not connected with a chain. I'd also like some help planning some travel. I am reading guide books but still have no feel for the must see places. I am interested in La Paz and environs, esp. Inca ruins around Lake Titicaca. Any other ideas?

Thanks for any help.

We were in Bolivia last year. It is a fantastic country.

Must: apart from Titicaca, Uyuni, El Salar de Uyuni.

In Cochabamba, you have many hotels, all kinds, no problem to find accomodation. You have to visit the Cristo, the Christ, in the top a a mountaion, you can go there by road, but it is more interesting taking the Teleferico.

To visit Titicaca we stayed in Copacabana, and from there we took a day boat to the island.
