Me and a couple of friends are planning on going interrailing around Europe through July/August. This is going to be a completely new experience and im not quite sure what to expect. we are flying to amsterdam to begin our trip, will spend a couple of days there and then begin the interrailing, as we dont want to spend time getting the train accross France/Belgium.

From there, we are heading to Berlin, then Prague and then down into Eastern Europe, which we haven't planned at all (what we are going to do, where we are going to do, etc.)

what should we expect, what do you recomend? we are definitly planning on heading to the coast of Croatia, get some mediterranean sun, etc.

What do you reccomend for the money situation in Eastern Europe? since the countries use different currencies, do lots of people just accpet $/£ anyway? I don't really want to draw attention and get mugged/robbed. Are the hostels safe there? I know some areas can be pretty rough.

Thanks guys.:)

well u dont worry. just go there. its safe. and u need to use their currencies.
maybe make a trip to sarajevo, is a very nice city.
in east europe i would perfer bus then train. to travell with train takes a lot of time.
and with the bus u can go everywhere.
maybe just the night train from zagreb to split is ok.
