The Golden Triangle comprises of 3 main cities in Northern India, capital city of New Delhi, and two other historic cities of Jaipur, capital of the state of Rajasthan and Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Both Agra and Jaipur are just a few hours drive from Delhi. Agra is around 200 kms and Jaipur around 250 kms. Travel by road to Jaipur is around 4-5 hours by Delhi and Agra is around 4 hours from Delhi. Both cities are very well connected by roads, trains and flights. Flights take just an hour each, but most people prefer to travel by either trains or by roads as its much more economical.

All the three cities are have a lot of interesting places of very high historic importance to visit. Covering all the sites in Delhi will take you around two days or even a day, but its better to not rush through it, and you should give 2 days time to enjoy it. Agra can be covered in a day, since there are two sites of importance, i.e. the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, also the shrine of Fatehpur Sikri which is an hour's drive from Agra.

Jaipur has a lot of historic sites to visit, like the famous Amber palace and Jaigarh fort being the prime attractions, and ideally it deserves around 2 days time.

But if are in a hurry you can cover the entire triangle withing 2-3 days, but its not worth it. Hope this helps.
