does anyone know if its possible to fly from the uk to tokyo then to bali? i realise i could find this out by going into STA and asking there, but unfortunately i don't live anywhere near one and i'm not gonna get to go and ask there until the end of feb. i'm desperately trying to sort out a good, solid route that involves japan, bali, malaysia, thailand, laos, vietnam and cambodia. i would ideally like to start in japan, then go to bali and then head north. anyone with any info or suggestions? cheers, joey

i don't know about your route but i do know that you can call sta to research and book your trip on the phone. thats what i did for a trip to europe two summers ago because i also didnt have a sta office near me. i ended up with a US$280 dollar round trip flight from newark, nj to amsterdam so i was pleased with the result.
good luck,

the cheapest option that i would do myselve would probably bee a 1-airline ( malaysian-airline ) ticket and overland from vietnam via laos and cambodja to bangkok .
london - kualalumpur - tokyo - kualalumpur - hochimin ( from there overland to vientiane - siemreap - bangkok ) and from bangkok a flight back via kualalumpur to london .
or with thai-airways with some side trips , but they are probably more expensive
