I've been a few times and Turkey has got it's act together over travel with lots of good tours available (even 2 day trips) at very reasonable prices. Turkey has quite a bit of history as well as some good sites and sights. See what you can when there.

There is a BIG Sunday morning market in Istanbul which starts uphill from the Blue Mosque (do go inside) and just seems to go on and on.

Hey guys

It varies between 1.7 to 1.78 nowadays. Check rates a the banks in departure hall of the airport in istanbul. Dont try to change in big shopping malls they charge higher comissions you can find small exchange buffets in streets they are always more profitable.
