Well Me and my friend are packing in our day time jobs and off to travel in 7weeks!!! Very excited!! Both Female, 22, from Scotland and looking forward to meeting people, new experiences and seeing amazing things.

Starting off in Thailand (Sept) and travelling overland through Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Arrive in Sydney November 24th and plan to stay there for couple months before we set off up East Coast. Thinking maybe get a motorhome or something along those lines and driving up???? Anybody interested????

I'm sure we will speak to some people on here and hopefully meet ya down under.

September into October is part of the rainy season in much of that area of Asia. Take a small telescopic umbrella, just in case.

Have you got all your visas yet?

If you have not booked overland travel yet, you can do it in KSR in Bangkok.

Ha, yeah i think we'll be needing something just like that. It's going to be a wet few few months but its rare we get the sun here.

Got Oz and US but still have to get Vietnam visa. We were thinking of just getting them when we were in asia. What would you suggest??

No we are doing this Stray Travel which includes all the travel overland. Sounds pretty good.

Get your Vietnam visa in Bangkok, thats what I did. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad for you, I did SE Asia for 4 months from September 2009, and whilst we got some rain, it was mainly limited to an hours downpour, and then sunny and warm for the rest of the day!
