Hi Lucy,

Im 22 and im aiming to fly to Sydney at the beginning of Jan. I have had my WHV accepted so just saving up now and then going to sort my flight out.

Im really excited but nervous too... let me know if you fancy meeting up at some point.

Also, one thing I am going to do is go through as they will pick you up from the airport and sort you out with accommodation for a week so you can meet other travellers and may help you to feel less nervous about being on your own.

Hope this helps xx

Everyone all planning there trips down under huh, I'm heading out to Sydney in January too, first time for me aswell. Seems some of you are a little nervous, some more than others.. but really you shouldn't.. I know i'm male and all, but i know many people who have travelled there male and female and assure me everybody is so welcoming and you'll never be alone.

I was forewarned a little on the so called package accomo/airport pickup. The transfer from the airport into Sydney is quite straight forward by all accounts. The main hostels that everyone stays at are Bounce,YHA & Wakeup. Ive opted for Bounce just through the recommendation on how good it is, cleanliness etc.

Flights i couldn't find anywhere cheaper than

Anyways if anyone is about around mid-late jan in Sydney and fancy's meeting up that would be pretty cool.

Enjoy your trips.
