Asia for HONEYMOON!

Hi Folks!

I am getting married on October and me and my fianceé want to travel to Asia... Any suggestions? We are planning on going for 3 weeks! Which places are mandatory? And which ones are ultimate romantic destinations? haha :D

Asia is a VERY BIG PLACE - I assume you're talking about E. Asia? or SE Asia? or S. Asia? or NE Asia???

Hello future just married,
The two most romantic places I met in Asia are the town of Luang Prabang in Laos and the Emperors tombs in Hue (Vietnam). The site of Angkor wat in Cambodgia is a great place to visit too.

Yes, Luang Prabang was nice, but they can keep Hue (I far prefer Hanoi).

You can go to Thailand in Kota Kinabalu. It's a great place out there. The South East part of Asia got lots of nice countries to visit.

Take a look at the Krabi area of Thailand. Many islands and options close by. Railay Beach is postcard pretty. One option available is to hire a longtail boat and explore some of the many uninhabited islands offshore. Hard to beat an island all to yourself! Koh Jum, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe are close as well. Fewer people around if time alone is important. Another option even less visited are the islands of Trang.

My other suggestion is Pattaya! I know, Pattaya has a terrible reputation for sex tourism and being too hectic. But, there is plenty to do and heaps of great hotels and restaurants to pick from. There is also a great beach option on Koh Larn. My blog covers my day on Koh Larn. If you want an exciting honeymoon and beach time, Pattaya might be worth a look.

I would vote for Thailand where tourist facilities/services are much more professional than any other countries in this region, esp. pretty less "scam"...

Are three weeks enough? Or is it too much? About 5 days per place...
