"... the economy has not died... all are rumours of the speculators..."

With all due respect Enigmaha, you're living in a dream world.

Good luck.

Dear CheersT(Terry)

Where are you from? The economy in Greece will never die...We will return to drachma, and we have plenty of agriculture and stock farm products, we can live without any help.
We have plenty of sun, plenty of nice islands, gorgeous mountains.

The EU and the US try to bring alliens here and maculate the purity of our nation.
That is reason they made the war in former Yugoslavia and that is reason they accepted Bulgaria and Romania and other Balcan countries in EU. All these alliens came in Greece and dropped significantly the wage-earnings, and led many Greek people to unemployment.

The EU exploited these people from the former Communist countries that were living with monthly salaries of 100-200 euros, and few from these refugees were absorbed from France, Germany, as they should.

In Greece we have also a big flow of migrant workers from Africa, Minor Asia, Turkey, Asia...
and EU has not done anything to protect the EU borders. They only care about the money.

The Greeks have made many mistakes and they will pay for that. But believe me we can live without the speculators, the markets and EU.

That is reason I told that the economy and the hope will never die.

We are a proud nation and we have taught to other countries the culture, I hope you remember the Ancient Greece.

As regards to Germans, my grand father died from phymatiosis, after many years in a concentration campus in Germany during the 2nd civil war. And we have not received a cent from these bloody people. And my father was forced to live without father since he was 8 years old. We are a nation that has suffered a lot, but we will never die.

And we will never lose our dignity and we will never allow the selling of our national properties to the speculators that aspire to our country properties.

We will stop paying them and will return to drachma...and if we have to fight for our country we will fight with any means available, and we will die for it, as we have made many times in the past....

Hope I were clear to you

I live in Greece right now. Been here since September. It's not cheaper because of the economical crise. And as madopoet says, there is A LOT of strikes, all the time here! The metro, the busses.. I would recommand you not to go to Athen. They are VERY angry now :p
