Hello all!
In January, I will be travelling to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat with a companion. We would like to stay in Cambodia for 4 days before taking a bus and crossing into Thailand to Bangkok.
Anyone been or lived there long enough to tell us about the deals and what to do? Really want to impress my friend and get out without spending tons of money.

Here is an excellent resource on all things Cambodia. Decide what you want to spend, then take a look at the listed hotels/GHs. I would then go over to tripadvisor and read what others have said about that hotel. I suggest you use the 'accommodation' option, top of this page. Select Cambodia, Siem Reap and start reading. This one was highly rated in the under $50 range. This one over $50.

Thanks for the input. Ill check with her this weekend about it because I just read that January is the most popular time to go there and hotels might be booked. Anyone have a favorite place to stay? I see like 30 places...
