Hi all,
I'm planning a trip around Europe next year - backpacking and hitchhiking for at least 5 months, then want to do Canada, Latin America, Asia in the long term, so I'm looking for a reliable, robust but light and compact one man tent.
There are two obvious cheaper options - Gelert Solo One or a Quechua 2 seconds tent (although this one is a bit heavier), but I wonder whether it's worth paying £100 more for a professional tent like Force Ten or MSR?
I don't want to splash out on a professional tent, if I'm not going to use it's features (I'm not going to climb mountains, just camping at random places), but at the same time, I don't want to save a few pounds and then sit in a tent that will get blown away in a storm
Weight is more important than the size as I have an Osprey 85L backpack, so plenty of room.
Thanks,
Lukas
