West Coast Koh Samui

Looking for a good beach to hang out on while not being exposed to tons of tourists and tourist traps.

it is a dream to find a nice beach in Sothern Thailand without tourists...

Ben,
My suggestion is to get off Samui and hit lesser visited islands. You can have an island to yourself off the Krabi coast. Go island hopping and have your boatman drop you off at uninhabited islands. Many of them off the Krabi coast. Another island you might research is Koh Phayam. Take a look at some photos. This resort has cheap bungalows and their own beach. Guaranteed to have very few others around. Good luck with your search.
