Hello all,

Planning on going to Panama around Feb 22nd. Would like to take a boat to Cartagena but it seems that the seas tend to be too rough and they have to stop closer to the Panama/Colombia border. Has anyone experienced this. There seems to be plenty of beaches and villages to visit along the way to cartagena but i want to get to Santa Marta to do the lost city treck in the begining of March. Im thinking i will have to plan on travelling to cartagena by land once i arrive in colombia. Also, will proof of onward travel be required. I will have a flight home booked in june out of Peru.

Any input would be greatly apreciated!
Thanks, Mike

Not all true-seas in the Golfo de Morosquillo are quite calm most of the time-but you have no idea how far it is by water to CTG.

Since there's a road from Turbo that's how people travel.
