I want to pick anyone's brains about Camper Van Tour's around Europe. My boyfriend and I have bought our van and are set to start travelling in June through to November. We are planning to mainly travel in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy...

...has anybody got any tips or hints that may help our once in a life time trip?!!

Thanks in advance.

Hi kmr_77,

My wife and I are in a similar position and have just bought a motorhome and are setting off on the 2nd April. As its our first van we are spending a month in the New Forsest/Devon and Cornwall to give us chance to get into it and make sure we know what we are doing. We are starting in Scandinavia in April and are going to work our way south from there.

The advice we have been given so far is to pack as lightly as possible, make sure that you do not set too gruelling a schedule, make sure that you comply to the road regs (warning triangles, first aid kits etc. - the AA website has a pdf file with all the road regs for all countries in Europe) and to try to speak as much of the native language as possible.

Have a great trip!!
