I hope they are using hopes to preserve the beer - I never have a hangover after chang.
I never heard about it.
is singha any better? All the foreign beers there are more expensive than in London.

Beer Chang has won international awards, and is a lovely drop. Most travellers I've met that drink Chang (including myself) dread the after-effects next day. After a few days or even a week of drinking Chang ... well ! The formaldehyde additive is fairly common knowledge in Thailand. I've tried Singha, Tiger & Leo, but I still LOVE Chang. Just have to put more thought into pacing yourself with it. Foreign beers are usually overpriced, and the bottles are too small
And "Chang" appears on the front of t-shirt of Everton's football players ... The Company is the major sponsor of the team now
Chang is definitely the beer to drink, although Singha is pretty nice too. The locals in Thailand have told me (not sure how true it is) that Chang is generally seen as a poor mans answer to Singha (Singha sponsoring Liverpool would probably confirm this!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
ROFL
formaldehyde probably is not addictive - but certainly it's a poison and is used for desinfection and as a preservative for non-foods.
traditionally (I believe) hopes were used for that purpose
And embalming corpses
Daveh, actually, Chang did really try it for L'pool but Carlsberg wouldn't let that happen though
That would make sense Chada. So is this a move by Chang to promote it's name within the UK and then start importing Chang over here, or with the global coverage the premiership gets is it aimed at making the name Chang known to tourists before they even get to Thailand??
did you know the older it is the stronger it gets, chang I mean! and I heard that Formaldehyde isn't the opnly interesting ingredient in it
Man I miss that stuff what a way to get the party started
But maybe it's cos I never drank it anywhere but on a hot thai island on my way out to have a whole lot of fun
woohweee!!
