China Spree Tours

Just joined, don't know if you've already booked your China trip, but for future reference, I went with China Spree last November on a one-week tour of Beijing and Shanghai. Generally speaking, I'm not a big fan of group tours, but I absolutely loved it. Well-organized, well-run and an absolute bargain for the money. Further, the fact that it was a group tour did nothing to take away from our experience. Their guides are well trained and very professional, and their boss doesn't tolerate anything less than top performance. There are a lot of independent "tour guides" in and around China. Some are great, others definitely not-so-much. Unless you have well-established contacts in China already, its tough to separate the wheat from the chaff on your own...and believe me, there's lots of chaff.

I had a look at the tour and if I had the money to spare, I'd be on it too. It isn't too bad when you consider it's all transport, accommodation, food, guides, etc. No hassle.

The only thing you need consider is the weather. Book it when the weather will be good there, and not in China's monsoon season (as in our summer).
