I finally decide to go abroad for further English-language education. IMO, UK is the best choice as it's the cradle of English, and it allows me to get a Master's degree in only one year, saving me much time and money.

Here is the basic information about me:

Girl, from China, major in English, Bachelor degree

I'd like to know:

1st Which college(s)/university in UK has the most successful courses in English Linguistics
2nd the Location, Climate, Custom and so on
3rd How much Pounds will it be in tuition and cost of living per year
4th What about the Scholarship and how to apply for?

Any suggestions will be appreciated :) Many thx

Hi there

1st Which college(s)/university in UK has the most successful courses in English Linguistics
I know Edinburgh Univ. has a good linguistics program. Maybe Oxford too.

2nd the Location, Climate, Custom and so on
Depends where you are. Varies from always cold and dark (Scotland) to Continetal climate (South coast)

3rd How much Pounds will it be in tuition and cost of living per year
Same as above, depends where you live

4th What about the Scholarship and how to apply for?
Hmm not sure
