Hey Vilma,

Wow you've got a hell of a trip ahead of you!

There's no shortage of things to do in India you could spend literally a life time getting to grips with it!

Highlights for me:

Camel trekking in Rajasthan (camping under the stars in the desert)

Rabindranath Tagore's house in Kolkata (Calcutta)

Cross country rail journeys by sleeper is a real adventure

Hiking in the foothills around Daram Sala (where the Dalai lama lives)

I'm sure i could think of a lot more if you want any further help or tips just PM me I'm a travel helper for India

uh oh, one issue ...
June would be very very hot with temps in mid 40s (celcius) in many parts. So I'd leave the desert out in this season. Even North central India (delhi, agra, UP) would be pretty hot. I'd stick to beaches and hills as they are comfortable.

Why not in June? yes ofcourse you can visit India in June.
How many days you can spend in India and which part of india( north, south, east or west..?) you wish to see?
Depending on your reply, detailed suggestions can be given.
Or what type of things--beaches, palaces, hill stations,temples---you want to see?
India is a vast country as you know and travelling takes more time if you are on a budget.

Thanks for all your help! :)

As it turned out, we're not visiting India on this trip.:(
Decided to spend the time ment for Nepal (and in plan
2: India) in United Arab Emirates + Singapore... and
continue the journey from there according to earlier
plans. Situations change... especially when planning
different routes for RTW. :)

But will definately want to visit both Nepal and India
some time in (hopefully near) future!
