First Time Traveller/ West Coast US

Ive been Mexico and Australia to see a friend who has been travelling for like 3 weeks each time, so used to flying and really got a hunger for it now. Need to start my own journey. I find the west coast of the states appealing, looks like would make sense to start in San Francisco and finish in San Diego, anybody done this alone? And recomend any towns or thing`s to do on my way down.....

Also, guess its easy to make friends in hostels ETC...

I live in Las Vegas and have traveled the west coast of California, it is so beautiful and if you are driving I recommend driving by the coast highway one is beautiful. Traveling alone is good I have done it plenty of time San Diego is fantastic. I really recommend doing it and it is a great idea to start in san fran and work your way down to san diego. Im doing San Fran to LA on my own in June.. im nervous but cant wait! I will let you know how it goes!
