Hi,

Me and my boyfriend are going to Thailand for 14 days from approx 27th December this year.
We are looking to go to Krabi and the islands around there, staying in each one for 2/3 nights.

We are looking for a mixture of relaxation, gorgeous thai food, nice beaches, snorkelling and a bit of nightlife. Would also look to do a day trip by hiring a long boat and looking round a selection of the smaller islands.

The research I've done suggests heading to krabi town, ao nang, railay and koh lanta.
However, not sure what order to do, or even if these are the best options given what we're after.

We are going to book specific accommodation when we get there but want to plan what areas to go to so we can budget.

Thanks so much!

Sorry for the confusion.....was actually looking for a bit of advice/reassurance on my research. We travelled other areas of thailand for 6 weeks last december but don't really know this area as well.

Thanks though!!

Hi Lauren,

I went to Krabi two years ago with an old girlfriend. Its a really good place for couples. I wouldn't bother with Krabi town personally, its not very nice at all.

Ao Nang is really beautiful and you can get a longboat to Railay (about 30 mins away) which too was really nice and a bit more secluded.

I would start by staying in Ao Nang. Then available options are:

1 day trip/stay over on Koh Poda
Stay in the Railay area and eat, partake in the nightlife along Railay East beach which you can walk to.
Arrange transport from Krabi Town to and from Koh Lanta eg by boat, maybe have a stopover on Koh Jum(Pu) and then by boat on to Koh Lanta. Maybe stay at 2 different areas on Koh Lanta. Return to Krabi by boat or by land (minivan).
2/3 nights on Koh Phi Phi if you haven't been there before.
