Hi, I'm heading to South East Asia for 2months. Hoping to get some advise on my trip plan.

I will be working 2days a week online while travelling so mostly putting the plan to paper to make sure I have enough time to do 4countries without rushing. I won't be sticking to it exactly, but used to getting some sort of plan down to be certain I won't have to rush parts.

I arrive in Bangkok October 8th, but could get there 1week earlier if the trip is too tight ( would mean missing Ireland trip while in Europe).

Northern Thailand - 12nights total
-Bangkok (6nights)
Overnight 12hr train (1night)
-Chiang Mai (4nights)
6-8hrs bus
-Chiang Khong (1night)

Laos - 7nights total
Walk through boarder to Huay Xai
2day slow river boat (1night)
-Luang Prabang (2nights)
5hr bus
-Vang vieng (4nights)
5hr bus
To either Vientiane or Luang Prabang
Fly to Hanoi

Vietnam - 14nights total
-Hanoi (3nights)
2hr Bus
-Halong bay (3nights)
Overnight train (1night)
-Hue (2nights)
1hr train
-Hoi An (2nights)
Overnight train (1night)
-HCMC Saigon (2nights)
6hr bus

Cambodia - 5nights total
-Phnom Penh (2nights)
4-5hr bus
-Angkor (3nights)
2hr bus to Aranyaprathet
5hr bus to Bangkok or fly direct to koh samui

Central Thailand - 13nights total
-Koh Samui (6nights)
-Ko phuagan (6nights)
-Bangkok (1night)

Fly home!

I'd prefer to move a bit more slowly as I've been in Europe moving around for 5months so keen to take it a bit easier before I heading home. Work wise most the time I'm able to squeeze in 2 half days per week and 2late nights to get through it, so that will come off each week.

I've also already travelling Thailand for 1month a few years ago so decided not to head down to Phi Phi or Krabi this time or Koh Tao.

Any help would be amazing.

Looks like a pretty decent itinerary for the time you've got. I see you've already done Koh Tao, otherwise I would have suggested that while you're in the south.

For northern Thailand, I strongly recommend stopping off in Ayutthaya and/or Sukhothai on your way to Chiang Mai. Fabulous temples in both cities.

Kanchanaburi is a bit out of the way (west of Bangkok) but definitely worth looking into.

Your timing for Laos and Cambodia is almost identical to what I did when I went through SE Asia.

Looks like it will be a fun trip!
