Hello,
In two weeks I have to be in Kiev, Ukraine. I'll be staying for a week or so and I reckon I'll have some time on my hands to check out the city.
Anyone has some tips on where to go, what to see?
I'm talking about cultural things, clubs, nice sights, etc ...
Thanks for the help!!
Gijs

Dear Someguy FC,
Well, there are really some must-see places in Kiev:
- Kiev Pechersk Lavra
- Golden Gate
- St. Vladimir’s Cathedral
- St. Michael’s Monastery
- Saint-Sophia Cathedral (Kiev’s crown jewel and grand UNESCO World Heritage Site)
- Mykola Syadristy Microminiatures Museum
- Great Patriotic War Museum
- St. Andrew's Church
There are surely much more )

Hi Gijs,
I should go to Chernobyl Museum when you are here, in Kyiv. It's really worth seeing! There are many other things to see and do. It depends on your interests and preferences. Do you like ancient history? War & military history? Religion? Stalin & Soviet Era?.....? Should you need a hand, drop a few lines.
take care,

For me the trip to Chernobyl was the highlight - needs booking well in advance as they need to get government permit. Various companies offering this daytrip, we used a UK one called Lupine Travel.
