I'm a 31 year old with the same ambition as you and I am taking the plunge and travelling solo around Thailand for four weeks from end of March! Would also like to try and fit Cambodia in for a few days to see Angkor Wat! Have you any more plans?

Hi Claire,
Lovely to hear from you I'm starting my journey in Bangkok for a couple of nights to get my bearings and then I'm very open minded - looking at travelling around Thailand, Laos, Cambodia (Angkor Wat does look fascinating!) and Vietnam though I will hopefully be travelling for around 3 months (there is so much to do and see in SE Asia!). I'm really interested in the history/culture and people rather than partying - though don't mind having a good laugh with nice people too It would be good if we stay in touch and maybe I could meet up with you somewhere along the way? Do you know when you plan to set off?

Thanks for replying Jo! Wow that sounds amazing! I wish I was going longer than a month now! Staying in touch sounds great! I fly out on the 18th March for a week group activity in Thailand and finish on the 26 March on Koh Phangnan. I then hope to go around the islands. Really want to do cambodia but think it will be easier to organise when over there.

Let me know if you are in the area. Staying at the siem reap hostel the first week or so.
