Hi there.
I am planning a holiday trip to st. petersburg with my brother.
We are trying to find a cheap place to stay. It doesn't have to be anything speciel, just a bed and a bath will do. But a good location is high priority.
Do I need to be aware of something when finding a cheap hostel in st. petersburg?
I have seen, here on the site, a hostel named "Nevsky lodging". Do you know about this hostel? It seems to be at a good central location and cheap too.
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

While I was in Saint Petersburg I stayed ay RYH. The are in a great location, a block away from the Moscow train station, Nevsky Prospekt and a Metro station, just to name a few main points.
When I was there it was about $20 USD a night, and a little cheaper if you hold a Hosteling International Card.

Check out the Admiral Hotel. You can find info on it here: www.hotelinspector.com
It has a very good central location and is cheap. Shared bathrooms. But the facility is of nice quality and is recent. Only 5 rooms.
For more money and further away is the Prestige Sport Hotel. It is still fairly cheap, but it isn't hostel pricing.
