Sydney is EXPENSIVE that time of year for any accommodation, and rooms fill up quickly.
Having booked, you may find that for that period, they have a no cancellation policy. So be careful.
I plan on being there too! When do you get to Sydney?
Hopefully if all goes to plan I'll be there.
I wasn't sure where to try and get to for christmas/new year time but it seems like sydney seems to be the place most people are heading too.

Well i fly to Beijing on Oct 3rd then onto thailand on 4th Nov then fly to Gold coast on 22nd Dec and have an internal flight to Sydney for the 24th Dec, so will be there on christmas eve. i have booked into "Maze Backpackers" from the 24th till the 3rd Jan...... EXCITING STUFF.

Maze backers... may try find that and see if I can book as need to think about it now really, I'm flying into Sydney from the South on the 27th (at least thats the plan) as spending christmas with my brother over there but wanted to experience new year in sydney!
