So I was going to port campell victoria with a friend as she had a job to return to there, but now she's back she might not want to come back, but
Istill want to go. As it will be my first time I'm a bit dumb struck with what to do, plus a worried as I will be doing it on my own now.
I have my flight booked to Singapore so far but waiting to book the second part till I know where I'm going.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any advice or people that want to buddy up, let me know. I'm leaving 2nd January. I want to explore the cities and the coast, and work. I have a 12 month working visa, and want to go to Asia at some point but not on my Billy Tod.

Hi Lizzie

I'm heading out there on my own too - a lot of people are!

As for your second part, just read up on a few cities/things you want to see in Aus and go there - the world is your oyster!!

Message me if you want to chat more, I arrive in Sydney 17th November!

Hey, it's hard to decide what to do or plan as I don't know if my friend is coming or not, I think she might be but that would mean going to port campbell Victoria as she has a job set up for her already
. I do want to see more of oz than just there but I will also need to work to save pennies, so will prob end up staying there for a bit then doing whatever, hopefully travel up the coast.......decisions decisions. But would be great to have contact with people to meet up with I'd I find myself on my own at some point x

If you are looking for work, try browsing www.gumtree.com.au

Seasonal work is easy to come by, you will however need to focus on the area you want to be in for the work - Australia is a very big country between cities - when you are here, you will understand what I mean.

The main employment site is www.seek.com.au, the second would be www.mycareer.com.au

If having never been here before I would suggest the following:

1. Plan your next 12 months and stick to it!
2. Buy your flights now - Australia has some of the worlds cheapest airspace, and some of the most expensive. The LCC's (low cost carriers) are Tiger and Jetstar, semi premium, Virgin Australia and Premium carrier, Qantas.
3. If you don't know what humidity is, look it up. Plan your trip to capture North Queensland and Northern Territory in the dry season but be warned, prices rocket over this period.
4. Australia is expensive, for everything. Be cash prepared

I'm going to usa in July 2014 then about 2 months later flying to oz where I have never been. I will be 21 and I went New Zealand last year by myself.
