So guys and ladies, in reality where are you going to explore next year ? And Where would you love to go if money and time were not restrictions ?

My reality...Vegas for a friend's wedding, Burma or Nepal for a 2/3 week flying visit and various business trips in Europe

My wish...would be take a year off and travel India and Asia but just not feasible so soon...

Wow, what's happening here? People are showing up and poking their heads out like Galapagoan tortoises.......first Purdy, now Rraven? Criminy, it seemed like just yesterday that we were all sailing the ocean blue swilling martinis and causing general mayhem. Huh. Good to hear from you N.

Reality - Florida for Christmas. maybe Barbados for Spring.
Wish - Toughie......probably a nice over water bungalow in the South Pacific.

Really not sure where we'll end up travelling to next year yet.

I'd love to head back to Japan though given the chance

@beerman : whats happening is that if the TPers we miss won't come to that other website then we come here and as its a wish, i presume the water bungalow might have a pirate ship ?

@Peter, one of my colleagues just came back from Japan and is obsessed now, she is really selling it as the place to be

Hey there stranger! *waves hi*

Antarctica remains firmly wedged at the top of my wish list. Every year I think "this year I'm really going to make it happen", and every year it just doesn't quite fit, timing-wise.

Almost certain is a visit to Andalusia again come the worst of winter, to soak up some sunshine. Probably Cordoba this time, though that might change. Morocco or Jordan might happen sometime around April, maybe? We've been talking about them for a while, but who knows. Could also turn into island hopping in Greece.

Nothing even remotely in the cards beyond that. There'll be something, no doubt, but it'll mostly depend on which month it'll turn out to be when I next feel that I really need a break now, and what's good to do during that time of year.

Yeah man i hear you, Antarctica is top of my wants list too.

As for where i am venturing to, Morocco at Christmas for 5 weeks, Scandinavia in June and maybe 3 or 4 European city breaks in between.

Over the xmas break i'm visiting Seoul and Hong Kong. :-)

Easter is usually a cheap destination in eastern Europe, led by what flights are available, but running out of new stuff or easy routes. Possibles are Moldova, Albania, or Macedonia, or possibly the amalfi coast to see herculaneum and Pompeii.

July is a cruise up the Norwegian coast to Spitzbergen! My ninth visit to Norway but Alesund and Tromso will be New - and the Lofoten Islands.

The wishlist kind of depends on moving jobs, but features backpacking in Russia (the trans Siberian route slowly), a Kamchatka trip for glaciers and volcanoes and hot springs, and I still have to see the southern two thirds of south America. Japan and the Canadian Rockies are on there too, as well as another go at NZ.
