Questions for people who travel a lot

Hello everyone,

I've never gone on a vaction in my entire life. I've never been on a plane. The reasons are that I was born into a family that never had any extra money for vacations and as an adult I'm still paying off student loans. I get extremely jealous/envious when people I know post their vacation photos on Facebook and other sites. I know it's not right to be upset by that stuff, but I sometimes wish people wouldn't post travel photos that way some people won't feel bad for not being able to travel. my question to all of you, is do any one of you back away from posting vacation photos online?

Yes I'm serious and I know some will laugh at me. But when you have never had the chance to travel feelings of insecurity and missing out do come out.

Seriously, why seek out a travel site to moan about people travelling. Trolling?

I'm not being a troll. I'm just curious about the mindset of people who have had the opportunites to travel.

answer - no.

Some people enjoy reading about travel & others don't. Those that do, do. Those that don't, don't.

Hopefully, when your student days are over, you can travel too. Or not, if that is what you choose to do.

Diane, you don't need to go on a plane to go on holiday, you don't necessarily even need much in the way of money. Get on a bike and do some cycle touring and camping, or get a cheap bus somewhere and camp.

I see your point Diane, and I would actually say yes. Many times in my life I have refrained from sharing photos or details of a trip to others who I know have not had the opportunity to travel.

All the time actually.

However, there really are some amazingly cheap ways to have a great trip. If you PM me.. I could share some you may not know. I'm always on an extreme budget but with the right techniques, you can do loads.
