About:Suggested Article Competition

Introduction

You can now win a $100 US accommodation voucher for use on Travellerspoint by contributing to the travel guide. This competition is running from February 16 to March 16.

How to enter

To enter, you have to start or contribute to a Suggested Article, as outlined below. Once you have written at least 2,500 characters for the article, you enter yourself by going to the February Competition Entries page and adding a new line with the name of the article you started or contributed to and your username. All entries will be manually checked by Travellerspoint admin. If you start or contribute to multiple Suggested Articles, you can enter yourself up to three times.

Terms

• You have to write at least 2,500 characters on the topic
• One entry per article (ie. writing 5,000 characters on one topic doesn't count as two entries)
• It has to be of a reasonable quality (not rife with spelling or grammar issues)
• It must be unique (not copied from somewhere else)
• It must have been started or contributed to between February 16 and March 16 (in 2009, of course)
• Travellerspoint staff cannot win

Suggested Articles

Any article suggested by one of the following projects is considered a Suggested Article:

• Language phrasebooks
• Events and festivals in #country# or #city#
• Family travel #city#
• Eating out in #city#

Winner

The winner will be picked at random from the list of entrants on March 16.
