Geography

Dobrogea is bordered by the lower course of the Danube, which surrounds the Moesic plateau to the west and the Casimcei and Măcinului plateau to the northwest, the Chilia Arm of the Danube Delta to the northeast, and the Black Sea to the east (the limit forming the Romanian coast). The waters flowing from its territory are few in number, short, with a low flow, often dry in summer, and flow into the estuaries on the shores of the Black Sea. The most important rivers are: Taița, Telița, Slava, Casimcea. Some estuaries are salty (Sinoe and Techirghiol), others sweet (Babadag, Razim, Golovița, Zmeica, Tașaul, Agigea and Tatlageac.
