La Guardia Airport (IATA: LGA, ICAO: KLGA) is one of the three major airports in the New York City area, operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Getting There and Away

LaGuardia is located in Queens, 8 miles (13 kilometres) from downtown Manhattan.

Public Transit

There are four bus services from the airport that connect with the subway system.

  • M60 (Manhattan and Astoria)
  • Q33 (Central, US Airways and Delta terminals)
  • Q47 (Marine Air Terminal)
  • Q48 (Flushing, Queens)

The fare is $2, and can be charged to a MetroCard.


Taxis to/from LGA bill according to their meter. Expect to pay $20-40, depending on route and traffic conditions.



Getting Around

LaGuardia's four terminals are connected by buses, or travellers can walk between terminals.
